State CDC Update

Here is a recent email sent to all Texas advisors. Please email fagan@northwood.edu for further information.

Greeting Texas!

As you know, the www.texasdex.org is updated with a completely new look. There are things there that I hope will prove beneficial to the communication of our student members. For starters, there is a link to our MySpace page, which will allow the state to come together as one. There is also a “blog” type page that we will be updating things (hopefully at least once a week) from either the State Advisor or the State President. If you have overall things you’d like to see, please feel free to contact me.

Also, as the Texas CDC is coming, remember that rosters are due FEB 15! That is only two weeks away…get those members finalized!!! Hotel reservations are due FEB 9!!! If you aren’t on the roster, you can’t compete at state. No state, no nationals, no fun.

Our national president, Courtney Holloway, will also be on hand at the state CDC!

We will be taking the State VPs photo to put on the web page. Please let them know so they’ll be prepared. They’ve all been working hard on the state community service project. I’m looking forward to the results.

We are hoping to have the opportunity to add a couple of schools to this year’s conference. There has been positive communication lately with University of Houston, Baylor University, Lamar University and the University of Dallas. We are all hoping to get them to the state conference…please make them feel right at home (just as we always will in Texas!)
